How to transfer your domain name from 1and1.co.uk

Follow the instructions below to transfer your domain from 1and1.co.uk to USH Internet.

Please note: You do not need to transfer a domain name in order to have a Hosting Plan with Buzme Internet. You can leave the domain name with your existing domain provider, simply change the domain name's name server details to:

Primary Name Server: ns27.boxsecured.com
Secondary Name Server: ns28.boxsecured.com

!IMPORTANT! Before making any changes to your domain name, make sure you have a full backup of the website. Please allow 2-24 hours for the name server change to take effect.

For .uk domains

Go to: http://contract.1and1.co.uk

1. Log in using your account number and password

2. Choose the contract which contains the domains

3. Select whether you want to ‘Cancel Entire Contract’ or ‘Cancel Selected Domains’

4. Choose the “Execute On” for the domain

5. Change the cancellation option to “Change Provider”

6. Click “Continue”

7. Enter the IPS tag for Buzme Internet is ‘EXTEND’.

8. Click “Finish”

9. 1and1 will send you an email to confirm you are the owner and complete the final transfer

Next, go to USH Internet (Transfer Domain)

1. Enter the domain name you wish to transfer

2. Click on 'Add to cart' and process with your online order adding any services like our Premium Email Plan or Web Hosting Services.

3. Once your order has been completed you will be contacted by one of our Customer Support Team with the progress of your transfer.

gTLD domains (non .uk domains)

Go to: http://contract.1and1.co.uk

1. Log in using your account number and password

2. Choose the contract which contains the domains

3. Select whether you want to ‘Cancel Entire Contract’ or ‘Cancel Selected Domains’

4. Choose the “Execute On” for the domain

5. Change the cancellation option to “Change Provider”

6. Click “Continue”

7. Go to the ‘admin.1and1’ control panel (not the ‘contract.1and1’ control panel) and unlock your domain

8. Click ‘domains’, then select your domain and click ‘info’

9. You will then see the Auth Code (which will be called the ‘EPP’ code if your domain is less than six months old). Make a note of this code

10. You will then receive an email with further instructions on using your Auth Code to transfer your domain to USH Internet, so please ensure you check your mail regularly and your spam box.

REMINDER: please cancel your 1&1 hosting if you are no longer going to use it, otherwise 1&1 will continue to bill you for hosting services.

Next, go to Buzme Internet (Transfer Domain)

1. Enter the domain name you wish to transfer and the Epp code / auth code in the two boxes provided

2. Click 'Add to cart' and process with your online order and adding any services you wish such as Web Hosting Services.

3. Once your order has been completed you will be contacted by one of our Customer Support Team with the progress of your transfer.

Please Note: If there are any outstanding invoices for the related account, these must be paid for in full before USH Internet will accept any Domain Transfer Requests. For further assistance, please contact our Customer Support by raising a tick from your USH Internet admin area.
